Today I installed a window stay for the first time in my life. After painting the frame. After sanding and repainting twice. It’s not quite to my liking yet, but I still wanted to install the window stay.
There is still an axa window shutter on it, which can be unscrewed in the coming days and the frame can then be painted underneath and along the sides.
The window stay that I chose cost 13.99 euros, is simple and has 1 pin with which you can open the window. It took me about an hour to do it, it has to be straight and you have to figure out how and where to start attaching the window stay.
No idea if the order was right, but it’s there. Sturdy and the window can be opened again. The previous window opener was rusty and dirty and needed to be replaced.
I am also satisfied with the paint job
